Berlin Philharmonic to Play at Lisinski Hall

The world champion of music, one of the greatest symphony orchestras in the history of music, is returning to Zagreb after almost eighty years, led by artistic director and chief conductor Kirill Petrenko!
The Berlin Philharmonic – one of the orchestras, the very mention of which is awe-inspiring – will appear at Lisinski Hall on 19 February 2022, in the year of the 140th anniversary of this planetary famous orchestra.

The Berlin Philharmonic gained international renown back in 1887 under conductor, composer and pianist Hans von Bülow, as well as under guest conductors of that period: Hans Richter, Richard Strauss, Gustav Mahler.

Among other great conductors that have led the orchestra during its long history are also Herbert von Karajan, with whom the orchestra played at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival in 1968, and conducting greats such as Claudio Abbado and Sir Simon Rattle.

Kirill Petrenko, who was appointed the artistic director and chief conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in 2015, will be conducting the orchestra at this sensational celebration at Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall.

The notice about ticket sale will be announced in September.
