Ferdo Livadić Awards for Arsen Dalibaltayan and Luka Galuf, Lisinski MUZA Residents
Pianist Arsen Dalibaltayan and cellist Luka Galuf are the winners of the award at the 23rd Ferdo Livadić International Competition for Young Musicians, held as part of the 51st Samobor Musical Autumn—one of Croatia's most prestigious classical music festivals—Hina reports.
Both were among the "MUZA Residents" at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall—a series that offers the finest students from the University of Zagreb Academy of Music the opportunity to hold solo concerts at the venue.
Arsen was one of three residents in the series' inaugural 2024/2025 season, while Luka participated in the second, 2025/2026 season.They captivated audiences with their performances in the Small Hall, having personally selected the programs—just as the other residents did.The performances were enriched by imaginative staging and direction, with the musicians themselves participating in the theatrical elements; this added an extra layer of appeal to the shows and underscored the themes of the works being performed.
We congratulate Arsen Dalibaltayan and Luka Galuf—just two of the residents who, shortly thereafter, gained further recognition both in Croatia and internationally, with some even performing alongside the world's most prestigious ensembles and conductors!
