One of the most original figures on the Croatian music scene, Luka Nižetić, will turn the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall into a center of unique energy and emotion on April 1. With a grand, carefully staged and intriguing music-and-stage production, Luka will celebrate an impressive 25 years of his career. This will be more than a retrospective – it will be a concert spectacle that simply must be experienced.
Accompanied by 20 top musicians and 10 dancers, lavish scenography and video projections, the audience can step into his intimate story from the south. That evening, Lisinski will be filled with an explosion of color, rhythm and dance, accompanied by an unmistakable, distinctive southern charm. Luka proved long ago that he does not simply sing a song – he lives it, acts it and dances it.
From timeless hits such as 'Prave ljubavi', 'Proljeća', 'Ponekad poželim', 'Amsterdam' and 'Jugo' to newer anthems of joy such as 'Ostani dite', 'Ae', 'Kad se rodiš usrid Splita' and 'Ludilo brale', the audience will travel through a quarter-century of his musical work and discover new songs from the singer-songwriter album 'Autoportret s juga'.
Independent and beyond all stylistic boundaries, with a constant drive to push his own limits and experiment, Luka has become known for his original and striking audiovisual identity.
His musical expression, spanning exciting early pop-rock, a fusion of Mediterranean pop and world ethno elements, and today's sound rooted in contemporary trends, always has the same strong common denominator – genuine emotion.
