The Forest of Sounds is a musical-puppet fairytale for children. It is a "sound forest" theatre, where forest plants, tree branches, roots, and forest fruits become musical instruments, puppets, or elements of the stage set.

The central idea of the performance is the creation of a sonic forest theatre, built from natural materials found in the woods. In this space, plants, trees, fruits, and other forest elements come to life as musical instruments, puppets, and scenographic components.
The main narrative thread of the performance follows the tale of a hedgehog and his best friend, a bear. It is based on a series of children’s stories by Russian author Sergei Kozlov (1940–2010). Living in the forest, the hedgehog and the bear explore their surroundings together. They encounter other animals, observe nature, and witness the seasonal changes within their woodland home. Through their relationship, the stories explore themes such as friendship, trust, loneliness, tolerance, sensitivity, wonder at the world around them, and the joy of life. Together with the hedgehog and the bear, children embark on an emotional journey through the lessons of life—its challenges, mysteries, and delights.

Persons with disabilities are entitled to a 30% discount on ticket prices, and their accompanying person is admitted free of charge. Ticket discounts are available at the Lisinski Hall box office. Pursuant to Article 86, Paragraph 1, Item 12 of the Consumer Protection Act, the buyer does not have the right to unilaterally terminate the contract (i.e., to return or exchange the ticket). KDVL is responsible for its own in-house productions, whereas the organizers of other programs bear full responsibility for them (including complaints, ticket refunds for cancelled events, etc.). Buyers are entitled to a refund exclusively in the event of a cancellation. Refunds may be obtained within 60 days at the original point of purchase and via the original payment method. In accordance with Article 10 of the Consumer Protection Act, written complaints may be submitted in person at the premises of the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, by mail to Trg Stjepana Radića 4, Zagreb, or via email to prigovor@lisinski.hr.
