Village Live are thrilled to announce the forthcoming release in our 45 series from Afro Gitano.
Music Where Continents Collide and the Dance Floor Ignites. Featuring two tracks where the rhythms of Africa meet the fire of Gypsy soul, all powered by a healthy shot of classic hip hop grooves.
About Afro Gitano
Afro Gitano is the meeting point of three acclaimed musicians whose backgrounds span continents and cultures.
Guitarist and composer Toni Kitanovski (Cherkezi Orchestra, ENJA Records), Malian griot Baba Sissoko (master of the tamani and long-time collaborator with artists from Ibrahim Ferrer to the Art Ensemble of Chicago), and international DJ/producer DJ Goce (who has toured alongside Gang Starr Foundation, and shared the stage with Mobb Deep, De La Soul, and more) join forces to create a sound where African rhythms, Gypsy soul, and classic hip hop collide.
Each brings decades of experience and their own musical lineage, yet together they form a group greater than the sum of its parts. From film scores and contemporary dance commissions to festival stages, Afro Gitano’s music is a cultural crossroads - fiery, groove-heavy, and designed to ignite the dancefloor.
The Tracks
The World is Yours (November 7th)
The A-side features Baba Sissoko leading with soulful vocals and traditional African instrumentation that set the tone from the outset. As Kitanovski’s guitar lines weave through and the drums and bassline kick in, the track unfolds into a guaranteed dancefloor gem - deeply rhythmic, uplifting, and impossible not to move to.
Afro Gitano (November 28th)
On the flip, Kitanovski’s funky guitar licks set the tone, weaving throughout alongside Baba Sissoko’s soulful vocals and DJ Goce’s hip hop–infused drum production. The result is a glorious fusion of African rhythms, Balkan funk, and hip hop energy - a true world crossover built to keep the party moving.

Members of the Cultural Union have a 50% discount, people with disabilities have a 30% discount, and students and subscribers to the Lisinski Saturdays, Lisinski da camera and Lisinski+ series have a 20% discount on the ticket price.
All discounts are available at the Lisinski Hall box office. In accordance with the provisions of Article 86, paragraph 1, item 12 of the Consumer Protection Act, the buyer does not have the right to unilaterally terminate the contract (refund or exchange of tickets). KDVL is responsible for programs in its own production, and for other programs their organizers are fully responsible (complaints, refund of purchased tickets for canceled programs, etc.). The buyer can exercise the right to a refund only in the event of a canceled event. A refund is possible within 60 days at the place where the ticket was purchased and in the manner in which it was purchased. In accordance with Article 10 of the Consumer Protection Act, all written complaints can be submitted in person at the business premises of the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, by mail to the address Trg Stjepana Radića 4, Zagreb, or by email to the e-mail address privom@lisinski.hr.
