In the new season of the Lisinski da Camera concert series, Trio Elogio continues to build its distinctive programmatic signature: thoughtfully shaped concert units, in which historical repertoire, contemporary music, and the art of transcription do not meet by chance, but through a clear internal dramaturgy.

This season’s programme connects several strands: the anniversaries of Mozart, Papandopulo, and Beethoven; new works by Croatian composers, which the members of Trio Elogio gladly encourage, select, and perform; guest appearances by distinguished musicians; and concert cycles within the concert series: all twelve of Granados’s Spanish Dances, spread over three concerts in the season. The titles of the three programmes — Shades of Blue, Pastoral Sonata and Danza Triste – Melancólica — do not only indicate moods but also invite to explore different approaches to listening.
The guitar repertoire is once again enriched by a series of masterful arrangements that bring some of the best-known works of the classical music literature in a guitar guise.

The season will open with the programme titled Shades of Blue. Along with Mozart’s Sonata arranged by Petrit Çeku, it will bring together the musical language of Šimun-Čarli Botica, who belongs to Croatia's youngest generation of composers, the refined nuances of Duarte’s Suite and Papandopulo’s famous Trio Sonata, which will feature a guest artist, the renowned double bassist Dominik Wagner.
The concert entitled Pastoral Sonata is built around Beethoven's work of the same name, in addition to Diabelli's Trio and the premiere of a new piece by Ivan Josip Skender, composed for this season. It was the acclaimed Guitar Sonata that won Skender the Boris Papandopulo Award for the best work in 2024 from the Croatian Composers’ Society, which increases interest in the new work he is composing, this time for a guitar trio.
The final concert of the season, Danza Triste – Melancólica, will offer perhaps the broadest emotional range in this concert cycle: from the music by the legendary Sofia Gubaidulina to Antonín Dvořák’s Slavonic Dances. It will feature guest artists, cellist Anja Lechner and guitarist Pablo Márquez.

Visitors who decide to follow the entire season will not merely attend three separate concerts, but embark on a listening journey through a carefully designed, well-rounded musical whole that develops from programme to programme, revealing the richness of the guitar trio’s sound and its possibilities across a stylistically and poetically wide range of composers’ oeuvres.
