Dunja, Marija, Monika and Martina will continue their musical journey, and the winning formula has already been proven many times.
It Takes Four to Tango, Ludwig! and Back to the Roots are the titles of evenings that will not leave you indifferent. Behind them lie three carefully designed programme stories.  Each of them is firmly grounded in well-established premises: a carefully designed programme selection and meticulously prepared musical performances.

However, the new season does not only go for a safe outcome. The fine selection of chamber literature is additionally spiced up with some less expected musical twists. Of course, Brahms, Schubert and Ludwig van Beethoven still remain in the focus of the programme as chamber music classics and an indispensable foundation. But Piazzolla, Kaija Saariaho and even Božidar Kunc, on the other hand, open up another perspective: less expected, challenging and even somewhat off-kilter, which arouses curiosity and attracts attention. Four eminent Croatian musicians guarantee performances without compromise.

And their guests? They are here to make a difference. Because, when Gordan Tudor joins you, it is clear that things are going out of the box. The brilliant saxophonist and composer will appear in The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, and if you ask him, it obviously takes more than two to Tango Nuevo by Astor Piazzolla! And Branimir Pustički, notable Croatian cellist, was evidently not finished with the double bass after Schubert’s Trout Quintet – quite the contrary. He will also play it alongside other outstanding musicians in Beethoven’s Septet, Op. 20 – and that is yet another unexpected twist!

After a number of diverse challenges, at the end of the season, Dunja, Marija, Monika and Martina will go back to the roots – of their own piano quartet, but also to the roots of Croatian music, in the form of the Piano Quartet, Op. 36 by the elegant master of tonal colours, Božidar Kunc.

And after all this, you simply have to ask yourself – why would you want to miss a season like this? That is not really possible. The real challenge would be just the opposite: to miss it!
