A Sensational Evening at Lisinski: Tamara Obrovac Presents the Album Misečina bila

An evening that once again confirmed why this artist holds a special place on both the Croatian and international music scene.

In front of a packed hall, the audience witnessed a truly sensational concert—exactly what has come to be expected at Tamara Obrovac’s performances. Her unique ability to create atmosphere and establish an immediate, warm connection with the audience once again came fully to the fore. The concert was imbued with emotion, spontaneity, and strong musical communication. All of this was further enriched by her recognizable wit and humor on stage, which kept the audience constantly engaged and smiling.

The program featured performances of new compositions from the album Misečina bila, released the same day by Cantus and the Transhistria Ensemble artistic organization.
It is an exceptionally mature and authorially strong release that brings together a jazz expression with Istrian musical heritage and dialects, creating a distinctive and authentic artistic world.

Tamara Obrovac was joined by her long-time Transhistria Ensemble—Žiga Golob on double bass, Krunoslav Levačić on drums, Uroš Rakovec on guitar and mandolin, and Fausto Beccalossi on accordion—an ensemble that, even after more than two decades of collaboration, performs with near-telepathic cohesion. Their performance was inspired, playful, and filled with improvisational moments that delighted the audience.
The audience’s enthusiasm reached its peak at the very end of the evening, when the musicians returned for no fewer than three encores, greeted by thunderous ovations.

A special moment of the evening was the direct encounter with the audience after the concert—Tamara patiently signed autographs and copies of the album, giving the evening an additional warmth and personal touch.

As of yesterday, the album Misečina bila has also been available in the Cantus webshop.
