The String Orchestra of Jeunesses Musicales Croatia (JMC) was founded in 2011 out of the artistic workshops of JMC in Grožnjan, bringing together young, talented string players. This ensemble offers a unique opportunity for young musicians to explore new approaches to music and creation, while developing skills that are essential for their professional growth and the shaping of their musical and cultural perspectives.

The concert cycle Young musicians for young audiences was launched back in 1992 by Jeunesses Musicales Croatia in collaboration with the Zagreb Academy of Music. Under the title Musical Talents, its aim was to organize concerts of the Academy’s finest students at the Croatian Music Institute. The program was supported by a great number of musicians who are now renowned, highlighting the importance of supporting and promoting young musicians—especially the most talented ones—through concert organization and by following their careers.

JMC has inspired and encouraged many organizations and institutions to provide support to young talents in the same way, through concert series. The Young musicians for young audiences program was conceived as a platform for the best young musicians to present themselves to their peers as well as to the Zagreb concert audience. This cycle embodies genuine support for students and all young musicians who are just starting their journey, seeking their audience, and needing a tailwind—especially those with the full potential to leave a mark on Croatian musical culture.
