A charismatic world-class ensemble that wrote the most beautiful pages of Croatian art music!
No Croatian ensemble has left such a trail of stardust and gone down in the history of classical music as the Zagreb Soloists!  One of the founders and artistic director of the ensemble, Antonio Janigro, enjoyed the reputation among the greatest cellists of his time of being the 'prince of the cello' and an artist of world renown. Since its establishment, the ensemble has given concerts on all continents and received accolades from critics and enthusiastic audiences everywhere. The high level of musicianship, the outstanding technical preparation of each ensemble member, the harmony and precision of phrasing that prompted a critic to compare the ensemble to a "Swiss watch", its unique, noble tone and almost palpable love of music are indisputable arguments and "strong trumps" that irresistibly attract audiences to their concerts again and again. So far, the Zagreb Soloists have given almost four thousand (!) concerts, in the world's largest cities and in the most famous concert halls around the world. The list of big names of the international music scene with whom the Soloists have performed is also impressive (Henryk Szeryng, Alfred Brendel, Christian Ferras, Pierre Fournier, Leonard Rose, Sir James Galway, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Aldo Ciccolini, Katia Ricciarelli, Marc Coppey, Ray Chen). At their anniversary concert, the Zagreb Soloists will host global violin star Julian Rachlin! During his thirty-year long successful career, one of the most famous artists of today Rachlin has presented himself as a conductor, pedagogue, chamber musician, artistic director, but also as the founder of several music festivals, including the Julian Rachlin & Friends festival in Dubrovnik. Music greats like Krzysztof Penderecki have dedicated their works to him, he has appeared in films and collaborated with film stars such as John Malkovich, Sir Roger Moore and Gérard Depardieu. Julian Rachlin has won numerous awards and is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. His brilliant virtuosity and exceptional musicality will enhance the concert of the Zagreb Soloists, who celebrated their 70th anniversary in 2023, which makes them one of the longest-lived chamber ensembles in the world.
