Benjamin Koppel, Magnus Ostrom, Scott Colley, Jacob Karlzon  QUARTET

This international all-star band consists of four musicians with different personalities, but a common passion for spontaneous musicianship, communication at the moment of performance and exploration of the various possibilities offered by the jazz idiom, especially in terms of improvisation and the expression of emotions and emergy. They felt their mutual compatibility by collaborating in various combinations and situations, so the formation of the quartet in this lineup was a logical sequence of events. At the same time, each of the members brings to this collaboration their rich experience, not only of playing with various musicians, but also of the specific musical legacy on which they grew up. For example, the Swedish pianist and composer Jacob Karlzon, winner of numerous awards and prizes, enriches his jazz language with folk songs from his homeland, but also with the benefits of new technological achievements. He calls this approach "technorganic", a kind of improvisation that goes beyond conventional musical boundaries. Swedish drummer Magnus Ostrom is best known as a member of Esbjorn Svensson's trio, but he has collaborated with other prominent Scandinavian and American musicians such as Bobo Stenson, Palle Danielsson, Nils Landgren, Michele Hendricks, Benny Golson, Mulgrew Miller, Stefon Harris, Pat Metheny, Alan Pasqua and others. Before he had an independent career, American jazz double bassist and composer Scott Colley played with the greatest. Only some of his collaborators so far have been Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock, Jim Hall, Michael Brecker, Pat Metheny, Carmen McRae, Antonio Sanchez, John Scofield, Joe Henderson. In fact he played with almost everyone. Award-winning Danish saxophonist and composer Benjamin Koppel is known for his versatility and virtuosity. He plays classical, pop, R&B and folk music and everything in between. In addition to acting as band leader, he collaborates with symphony orchestras, but also jazz greats such as Joe Lovano, Randy Brecker, Miroslav Vitous and others.
Ticket price until November 4 is 20 EUR, from November 5 is 25 EUR, and 30 EUR on the day of the concert.
