Željko Lučić, a star of the world's opera stages, will also shine on the Lisinski Hall’s stage in an exciting ending to another of our concert cycles. In the pre-Christmas time, filled with serenity and joy, and before New Year's Eve celebrations, we can look forward to a magnificent musical experience that reflects all the charm and beauty of that special time of the year! A Holiday of Music with a number of the most famous arias of the world's opera literature will be presented to music lovers by the powerful voice of Željko Lučić, a singer to whom the doors of the world's largest opera houses – from New York's Metropolitan Opera and the Vienna State Opera to the National Opera in Paris and the Royal Opera House in London – are wide open. Tickets for his performances everywhere are in high demand, because he has cult status in the opera world. Listening to his interpretations and admiring his God-given voice is an opportunity that does not present itself every day. He gave a grand opera recital in the Lisinski Arioso cycle in 2017. This time, he will be joined by the great soprano Dragana Radaković, who started her European career collaborating with the great Domingo in 2009. The appearance of an excellent Slovenian orchestra – the Symphony Orchestra of the Slovenian National Theatre Maribor – will also be a special experience. It will be conducted by its artistic director, young conductor Simon Krečič, who has built an amazing international career in the world of opera in recent years, conducting operas in some of the most famous European opera houses! All artists on the stage of Lisinski Hall in the holiday Opera Gala will be a unique and exclusive opportunity to combine the magical atmosphere of the most beautiful time of the year with enjoying classic opera arias in extraordinary interpretations by true stars of the world opera scene!
