Audience in Rijeka Delighted with New Concert Cycle and Zagreb Soloists

The Zagreb Soloists successfully opened the new concert cycle in the packed Governor's Palace in Rijeka.
The Zagreb Soloists successfully opened the new concert cycle in the packed Governor's Palace in Rijeka on 26 September. Their exquisite musicianship delighted the large audience, who enjoyed their performance of pieces by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Sebastian Bach and Bela Bartok. Smooth travel through music history proved why they are one of Croatia's best chamber orchestras. They also heralded the quality of the upcoming season.

On 26 October, the Governor's Palace hosted the Papandopulo Quartet. Their first album is the most sold classical album in Croatia with five nominations for the Porin Croatian Music Award.

The cycle will continue with one of Croatia's brightest piano stars today, Aljoša Jurinić, on Monday, 13 November.

The final concert will take place on Thursday, 14 December. It will be a highlight featuring Petrit Çeku – the guitar prince from Prizren, a favourite of the audiences and one of the finest offsprings of the esteemed and renowned Zagreb Guitar School and professor Darko Petrinjak. His artistic maturity, technical perfection and refined sound are only some of the reasons why the acclaimed music critic Colin Cooper called him “a soloist of the highest ability”, which Petrit Çeku confirms wherever his musical path takes him.

The music events in Rijeka, organized by Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, should not be missed!
