He sometimes also plays trombone in his guest appearances! He is the only accordion player who records albums for the Deutsche Grammophon label. He plays with a rich expression that encompasses all music genres from classical music to jazz. Galliano has recorded over 50 albums and collaborated with an impressive number of musicians, among whom are Chet Baker, Eddy Louis, Ron Carter, Wynton Marsalis, Charlie Haden, Gary Burton, Serge Reggiani, Claude Nougaro, Allain Leprest, Charles Aznavour, Serge Gainsbourg, as well as Nigel Kennedy, with whom he recorded Bach Project for Deutsche Grammophon, and broke all records in the sales of classical music, having sold over 50,000 copies of the album in 2010. He has won numerous recognitions, among which also the Commandeur – Ordre des Arts et des Lettres awarded by the French Minister of Culture for outstanding achievements and enrichment of the French cultural heritage. In 2014, he received the Composer of the Year Award. At the Zagreb concert with the Slovenian Philharmonic Chamber String Orchestra under conductor Klemen Hvala, he will play his own compositions and also those by classical music composers arranged for accordion.
