MUNICH RADIO ORCHESTRA
BAVARIAN RADIO CHOIR
IVAN REPUŠIĆ, Conductor
Fuoco di Gioia

The Saturday at Lisinski audience is in for a special musical treat – chorus excerpts from the operas Nabucco, Lady Macbeth, Otello, The Flying Dutchman, Lohengrin, Tannhäuser... The sensational concert will be given by the Munich Radio Orchestra conducted by one of Croatia’s most important conductors of the new generation living in Germany, Ivan Repušić, featuring the top-class Bavarian Radio Choir! After a two-year search, the members of the Munich Radio Orchestra voted Repušić their Principal Conductor in 2017. Before appearing at Lisinski Hall, he and “his” orchestra will record the program titled Fuoco di Gioia for the BR Klassik label, and only a day after their Zagreb appearance, they will perform it at the renowned Herkulessaal in Munich! Repušić’s (operatic) experience guarantees the Zagreb audience a wonderful music event that it will remember for a long time! He first acquired experience in his homeland as Chief Conductor of the Croatian National Theatre Opera in Split, Music Programme Director of the Split Summer Festival (2006 - 2009) and the Dubrovnik Summer Festival (2009 - 2012) and then conducting opera performances at the Hamburg State Opera, Semperoper Dresden, Komische Oper Berlin and Staatsoper Hannover, which he is the Music Director of.  “Wherever I am, I try to give my best.  I try to identify with music and share it with my orchestra and singers so that all of us together would provide an unforgettable experience to the audience”, Repušić said in an interview with Fono forum. He proved it with last year's appearance with the Berlin Radio Orchestra and young Aljoša Jurinić as a soloist. It was one of the most eagerly awaited music events of the season, which received its successor – the concert of the Munich Radio Orchestra and the Bavarian Radio Choir under conductor Maestro Repušić: Fuoco di Gioia!
