The sound of thousands of strings of a large harp orchestra together with the Croatian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra on the large stage of Lisinski Hall... a really unique music gala, which will undoubtedly be unforgettable.
The Tisuću Žica (Thousand Strings) Croatian Harp Orchestra was founded in 2008 on the initiative of the Zonta Club Zagreb, a member of the Zonta International Association, an international organisation with the mission of advancing the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women in the society. The Harp Orchestra, an ensemble with over 25 excellent Croatian and Slovenian harpists under the artistic direction of Marija Mlinar, has been organising the Celebration of Harp, charity concerts helping those in need, in the small hall of Lisinski Concert Hall year after year. Attending this unique music event can be a special token of appreciation, which the Thousand Strings musicians rightfully deserve on their tenth anniversary.
