One of the best tenors today, Yusif Eyvazov, is a guest performer in the Lisinski Arioso cycle! He grew up in Azerbaijan. The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan declared him an Honorary Artist in 2017. He received his education in Italy and started his exciting and dynamic career, which reflects his temperament, at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. He has so far sung Turiddu in a production of Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana with the La Verdi Symphony Orchestra of Milan, Radames in Verdi's Aida in a production of the Opera Fiesola and Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Cavaradossi in Tosca at the Bolshoi Theatre, he sang the leading role in Verdi’s Otello at the Ravenna Music Festival, Andrea Chénier in the opera of the same name by Umberto Giordano at the Prague State Opera and La Scala in Milan, the leading role in Verdi's Don Carlos at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Maurizio in Cilea’s Adriana Lecouvreur at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. There was also the role of Canio in Los Angeles Opera's production of Pagliaccio conducted by Plácido Domingo, debuts in the role of Calaf in Puccini's Turandot at the Metropolitan Opera and the Wiener Staatsoper and debuts as Manrico in Verdi’s Il trovatore at the Paris Opera and Staatsoper Berlin.

After all, he also sang Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut under conductor Riccardo Muti in Rome in 2014, when he met and first sang with renowned soprano Anna Netrebko, who soon became his wife. They sang together in the same opera again at the 2016 Salzburg Festival and they also continued their artistic cooperation on numerous concert stages throughout the world. In 2016, they started an Asian tour that also included Australia in the autumn of 2017. They also sang under conductor Massimo Zanetti at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona. Eyvazov collaborates with numerous other artists, among whom also Italian conductor Marco Boemi, with whom he will also have his first appearance in Croatia together with the Ivan Zajc Croatian National Theatre Orchestra.  Brilliant mezzosoprano Rossana Rinaldi will join them on the concert stage of Lisinski Hall in Zagreb. She is a favourite of Italian opera houses, who has collaborated with numerous leading conductors and artists of today, such as Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Nello Santi, as well as José Carreras, Placido Domingo, José Cura, Marcelo Alvarez, Leo Nucci, Ruggero Raimondi, Barbara Frittoli and Katia Ricciarelli. She has had a number of successful roles in Italy, Switzerland and Japan, which have received accolades from audiences and critics.
